Table of Contents
The primary audience for this site consists of engaged couples who are planning their wedding ceremonies, receptions, and honeymoons. The site is primarily aimed at brides, but also seeks to be inclusive of grooms’ needs and concerns.
The secondary audience for this site would include professional wedding vendors (photographers, florists, cake bakers, etc.) and ceremony/reception venues. Another secondary audience would be the guests who will attend a couple’s wedding.

Heather Johnson
“I can’t believe I am finally engaged. I am looking forward to the wedding of my dreams!”
Heather is a student and a bride-to-be all at the same time. She plans to graduate before she gets married, but is starting the wedding planning now. She likes to visit OurWedding.com at school in between classes and at home on her own time, usually spending between a half-hour to an hour online.
With a limited budget to plan her dream wedding of around 80 guests, she still has confidence that it can be pulled off in 12 months, with a little help from OurWedding.com. Heather really likes the budget calculator tool and uses the checklist feature quite often. She is also trying to locate an inexpensive but beautiful gown, so she checks out the gown search tool and selects the less pricey range. Needing to find a venue that is also within her price range, she uses the venue search tool, making sure to check out user comments on any place that might sound questionable. Since she is always looking for good ideas (that don’t cost much!), Heather likes to read the advice/help articles that give ideas on how to get the finest for less. She is also having a hard time deciding on a hair-style, so she looks through the fashion section that shows pictures of styles, as well as offers suggestions.

Stacia Fischer
“I’ve been planning my wedding day in my mind since the time I understood what a wedding was!”
After dating her boyfriend for 6 years, he finally proposed, and now Stacia is suddenly a bride-to-be! With just 6 months to plan a wedding for 300+ guests, Stacia visits OurWedding.com on her lunch hour at work and on her personal time at home. Most days, she spends a half hour or more on the site.
She loves using the personalized tools like budget tracking, checklists, and guest list management. Stacia also uses the local vendor resources to help her identify professionals in her area that she can hire. Since she already has her dress selected and she’s been in 5 weddings before (always a bridesmaid!), she doesn’t use the Advice or Fashion/Beauty section all that much. Stacia has been planning her wedding day in her mind since the time she understood what a wedding was. Now she’s just looking for practical tools to help her make her wedding vision into reality.

Matthew Smith
“I have been avoiding this day for as long as possible, but I have finally given in after running out of excuses, and forgetting why I was avoiding it in the first place.”
After being with his girlfriend for 10 years, he finally proposed. Matt’s biggest worry is going through all of the rituals of a wedding ceremony. Matt likes to stay “under the radar” and is extremely shy. Matt wants his fiancé to be happy so he thinks that she will want to do the majority of the planning so he doesn’t do anything. Finally its time to send out invitations and Matt
realizes that he doesn’t even know who he should invite. Matt’s fiancé counted on Matt for one thing and now the invitations are late.
Matt will be using Ourwedding.com primarily for the FAQs and Articles on etiquette. Specifically Matt is researching “when to send out invites” and trying to figure out if he can make his own invitations to save a little cash. Matt is not cheap, but he does want to cut as many corners as possible because he would rather have money to spend on a home after the wedding rather than use it all on a “party”. At first Matt is not too interested in the wedding, but his “wife to be” is so excited about it he can’t help but try and keep up by looking things up online. As it gets closer to Matt’s big day, he finds himself looking up everything trying to find places to save money.

Paige Petterson
“I approach each wedding as if it was my own, capturing special memories as so they may be cherished a lifetime”
Paige has had a professional photography business in a small community in Northern Michigan, since graduating with a graphic design degree from Northwestern University in 1995. She has established herself as one of the most sought after wedding photographers in her area.
Most of her time spent online is exchanging emails with clients, and contributes to various graphic design forums. She also keeps a portfolio online that she maintains herself, and uses the internet to find new web design techniques. Paige takes great interest in reading the comments left about her services on OurWedding.com, and uses this tool as a way of improving her customer experience. She has used the photo upload tool a few times as a way of displaying her most precious work, though still keeps most of her work on her portfolio website, which she provides a link for in the OurWedding.com vendor links. She enjoys the simple interface of OurWedding.com, and recommends it to her clients and friends over its busy, ad filled competitors.
